Petaling Jaya, 31 October 2018–Brickfields Asia College (BAC) won the CSR Excellence Award in recognition of its outstanding corporate social responsibility initiatives at the Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2018 held last week.
The award recognised BAC’s philanthropic spirit, which is seen through the many charity events and programmes held by its CSR arm, the Make It Right Movement (MIRM). The award was accepted by BAC’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Aria Singham. In attendance at the event were staff members of BAC who were thrilled to share in the institution’s achievement.
With an impressive guest list that included captains of industry, dignitaries and jubilant award winners, the Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is one of the most trusted and prestigious business awards programmes in Malaysia.
Founded in 2015, the Make It Right Movement (MIRM) is a CSR initiative by Brickfields Asia College (BAC) that aims to create a sustained positive impact on society by championing community causes both locally and globally, leveraging all resources of the BAC Education Group. To date, MIRM has collaborated with over 100 social good entities and is involved in more than 200 charity programmes and CSR-related projects and events annually which enables BAC students the opportunity to volunteer and champion social causes whilst improving their leadership, communication and collaborative skills.
